First day of vacation

Last night, I had my Star and Nine Patch quilt class. I haven't been in class since a week or two before the accident - about 4-6 weeks ago. I always remember how much I miss class when I go back. Last night's class was no exception. We had a great time and my blocks are awesome! I will need to post pictures of them tomorrow.

I was so pooped when I got home that I didn't even try to clean up my bedroom to prep for sewing today. I went almost straight to bed.

This morning, I got to sleep until almost 9 before the dogs wanted to go out. I cleaned myself up real quick and then went to IHOP for breakfast. I then went to Circuit City for the adapter to hook up the iPod in the new car. Then, I went to work for a couple of hours and I was able to listen to a book while I was driving. It was very cool! I was able to get my stuff at work done quickly and now I don't have to worry about it until the Sunday night before I go back. What a great feeling! :)

I stopped at Target after leaving work because I had a gift card to spend. I tried on some clothes there and I got a pair of size 10 jeans!! I had been wearing size 14 until I couldn't zip them up anymore and I refused to buy a larger size of jeans. I am happy to be in 10s again. I also got a couple of very soft sweaters in Large. I also got 2 pairs of shoes in size 7. I had been wearing a size 7 1/2.

Macy's was supposed to having a huge sale today so I stopped there, but I didn't see anything that struck my fancy. Maybe I will stop at a different store this week and see if there is anything at that one.

I was pretty hungry at this time, but I thought I would stop quickly at Kohl's and see what was on sale there. I found 3 pairs of work pants in size 10 that fit even better than the jeans. And I got some sweaters and tops in MEDIUM! Yes, that is right - Medium! And I am not going to feel self conscious about wearing them because they look good on me. At least I think they do.

Once I got home, I was able to clean the kitchen while my pizza cooked. At least I have accomplished one thing at home! And I want to get my bedroom cleaned up before I go to bed tonight. And I still want to make my list of To Do items for my sewing this week.

To do all of that, I need to get off the computer for now....

What an amazing feeling! I went from a 14 to an 8 when I was teaching. Congrats on all the weight loss!
