This week

So far this week, I haven't been posting much because I have been to Guild and trying to get things cleaned up around the house. Last night, I fell asleep at 8:45! And while I feel very well rested this morning, I feel like a slacker because I haven't done any sewing!

I did want to share that I have lots of new donations to post about and will probably do that on Saturday during our huge snow storm that the weather forcasters are now predicting.

So here is my BIG news! I went shopping last Saturday after the Pat Speth class where I made my first block for my Lover's Lane quilt because I needed to get some new pants for work. Last week, one co-worker had complained about being into size 14 pants and how she only had a few pair so I decided to go through my closet and get out all of my big pants. I mostly had 14's but also a couple of 16s. I would say that about half of the pairs still had tags on them and won't fit me because they are too big. I didn't even realize that I had all of these pairs that I could have been wearing! So I took bags of pants into work and shared them with 2 different co-workers.

One co-worker was so excited to get the pants because she has been doing Weight Watchers with us and was just getting into size 14s and I knew that she would wear them to work. The other co-worker took the pants that were leftover, but I still haven't seen her wearing them to work. For some reason, she feels that she has to wear skirts, but the pants that she took are dress pants so I am not sure where else she would wear them if not to work. Now, I almost wish that I would've just given them all to the first co-worker. Actually, she wore 2 different pairs last Thursday and Friday! And the second co-worker is the one who was complaining about needing the bigger size.

Anyway, so after getting all of these pants out of my closet, I had maybe 5 pairs left that I could wear to work, so it was off to JC Penneys and Kohls for me. I got jeans and khakis and corderoys that were all size 8!! Yes, you read right! SIZE 8! I am so excited!

I can't remember if I mentioned this, but last week, I hit my 25 pounds lost through weight watchers and I got a little charm to add to my keychain. And this week, I am down a little more. My total weight loss since June 1, 2007 is 38.5 pounds! I am pretty excited about this.

All right, I have to get to work now. :(

Congrats on your weight loss! I'm sure you will really enjoy staying that size and giving away the pants means you can't go back to that size without buying new. Keep up the great work!

CONGRATS! That is quite an accomplishment and you look great in your pictures. I'll be happy to fit into my 10's eventually... 2 more weeks before I get the ok to go back to the gym so I can get out of maternity pants and sweats...you have inspired me to take Aidan out for a stroller ride so I can walk.. much better than vaccuming.. which will wait till tomorrow!

Way to go on the weight loss. Now my problem is just the opposite. I think for every pound you loose it finds it's way to Wisconsin and hops on board with me. Ahhhh to be a size 8 again.

Congrats!!! I remember how excited I was about being 'a perfect 10' and then once that excitement left I was an 8! Ohhh, to get there again. Gosh, if you go lower, let me know I know I'll never get to see 6 again, even if I go on a losing streak, I don't even want to go to 6...it's just not good on me. I have some really nice dress pants from NY & Co.
