Ethical Question

I wanted to thank everyone for their thoughts and comments on the Question of an Ethical Nature. Just to clarify a little, this was not something that my priest did or that I witnessed of my church leader. This was behavior that was exhibited by George and his pastor. George actually told me the weeble wobble story thinking that I would be amused. I was not. This was also the norm for the behaviors that were displayed for me by George. Maybe not all to this degree, but there was quite a bit that made me question the choice of vocation he made. The whole thing is that this is not behavior that I would expect from a church leader.

I tried to point out to him that his behavior was not something that people would expect from a church leader and he just didn't get what I was trying to say. He became very defensive and called me a liar and said that I wasn't good enough for him. I gave up trying to point out the flaw in his plan.

But it's nice to know that it isn't just me that would have an issue with this behavior and these actions.

Yeah...George...someday it will catch up to him. Maybe not now, but eventually when he is a pastor, if he gets that far, it will catch up to him.

It's not even just a church's a Christian or a decent human being. Either one should exhibit better behavior. People look to "religious leaders" for examples to live by...this is not someone anyone should emmulate. I'll get off my soap box now....hehehehe

George needs to look up the Golden Rule...Treat Others the way he would like to be treated. Here's a sermon I found on the subject. Maybe you should send him the link. He has a lot to learn if he is going to 'lead others' to Christ. Thanks for the update!

One certainly has to question his capacity for caring and compassion when he's making such statements. He sounds like he needs to grow up, Jill. And for my two-cents' worth - he's not good enough for you!!! _Not by a mile!
