This afternoon, when I got home from work, I was very shocked to finally see some repair work happening after Hurricane Ike went through September 14. If you recall, Cincinnati and surrounding areas had a severe wind storm and lost power for days. There was a lot of damage to roofs, houses and trees.
I live in a condo and we have a home owner's association and management company that is a joke. I had to make numerous calls, emails and finally a threat to make some calls to report the lack of action on the management company's part before they finally fixed this. It took them 6 weeks!
Now, the duplexes that sit across the street from my area had visible damage from my house. They were missing numerous shingles. There were no tarps over the roofs to protect them from further damage. Day after day, I would stand outside with the dogs and just shake my head. I can't imagine what those owners were going through to try and get the management company to actually fix their damage.
Well, finally, 2 and a half months later, they are replacing the roofs. The roofers are actually on 3 different buildings ripping off shingles today. I was absolutely shocked! These are 2 views from my sidewalk.
The only good thing is that there was no rain involved with the storm and that we have been relatively dry since September so there couldn't have been a significant amount of damage related to the lack of work on the management company's part.

I hate when it takes forever to get to something like that fixed. I don't like to wait for companies to get things done.
It's about time they fixed that stuff!!
