Quiet week... So far

I haven't done much in the sewing area so far this week. I hope to change that tonight.

Sunday, I had my Granma, aunt and cousin over for dinner and to see the new windows. We enjoyed watching the dogs look outside at the birds and vermin that were feasting on the stale bread I put out on the deck. I also talked to Granma about window treatments for the family room and the bedrooms and I showed her the fabric that I have. We have a plan for the family room, but I haven't decided on anything for the bedrooms. I think that I want to paint the master bedroom again, but it's just such a daunting task that I try not to think about it! lol

For dinner, I made my ham and potato casserole and my cousin loved it! My aunt also brought home made bread and we all enjoyed warm slices with fresh strawberry jelly! YUM!! After dinner, we watched "When in Rome." Very cute!!!

No working with fabric before everyone got there because I was straightening up and then making the casserole and a fruit salad. After everyone left, the pups and I were too pooped to do anything other than falling into bed! lol

Monday night was an Ohio Valley Quilter's Guild meeting and we had Klaudeen Hansen as out speaker. She makes quilts in the Amish style and had some fantastic quilts to show us. She also had a slide show of the area in Wisconsin that she is from and discussed the Amish way of life. She has studied Amish culture mostly in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. It was interesting hearing the differences between that area and the Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana Amish which I am a little more familiar with. I wish that I had been able to take one of her classes, but the one that I really wanted to take was on Monday during the day and I wasn't able to take off work.

Needless to say, I have had a couple of busy days, but I hope that I can get some cutting and maybe sewing in tonight!

OH, one other thing! All of the winners who were notified responded so I won't have to pull any new names for the Giveaways. I still haven't gotten any of the items mailed out, but I do have the envelopes and boxes to start getting them in order. I would really like to get everything mailed out by this Saturday. I will keep you posted! :)

Happy Tuesday!!!
