Another slow week again! I didn't do a whole lot over the long weekend even though I had big plans. I ended up just finishing the quilting on the SIS quilt, burying all the threads from the bobbins and the breakage, cut bindings for the 6 charity quilts that I have quilted recently and cutting the Whimsy fabric. I also knit a few more rows on my sweater back. So I spent Labor Day doing very little laboring on anything! I actually got a 2.5 hour nap in! Woo hoo!
I'm feeling a little guilty that I didn't get the bindings pieced together and pressed so that they are ready to be attached to the quilts and that I didn't actually get any of the Bento Box blocks sewn together and still have not started sewing on the black and white blocks to assemble the center of that quilt. What else is a long weekend for?
I am very happy though that I was sufficiently rested for work yesterday! And I made myself a nice dinner on Monday that can be enjoyed for the rest of the week in the form of very easy lunches! And some dinners. :)
Tonight, I am heading to a new Quilt Guild with Barb. It seems like the gals are more our age and it will be fun to see what they are working on!
This weekend is the start of the Tri State Shop Hop and I was able to talk Barb into joining me! There are some new to me shops involved and most of all of the shops will be new to Barb. It will be great to run into some of the shops that I haven't been to in a year and a half. I can't wait to see the samples and the inventory that all the shops have now. And I am very excited to have a $25 gift certificate to one of the first shops we will be hitting! Knowing Barb, we are going to have a fantastic time!! I can't wait!
I am planning on just doing some hand work in the evening after the hopping because I am usually pretty beat after the first day of hopping. I really want to get the binding on the Santa quilt so that I can work on getting that finished. That might just be my only goal for the rest of this week!
Also, I realized this morning that I only have 17 more rows to knit on my sweater back until I can bind it off! I hope that I can get that done this weekend, too! I need to send the yarn shop a message to see when I can come back in for the sleeve re-work so that I can get those finished and get this sweater ready to wear! In case you don't remember, the pattern calls for fluted sleeves and I just want straight sleeves. Maybe half length sleeves, too, because I am sure that I have enough yarn for that! It shouldn't be too much longer before my first sweater is done. Maisy was extremely interested in the back while I was counting my rows... I might just have to find a pattern to make one for her! :)
Happy Wednesday!

You sounds like me - so many projects - not enough hours - lol!
Your weekend sounds like most of my free time - a little bit of everything and not a whole lot of anything! I enjoy it though and I refuse to feel guilty about not making significant progress on any one thing.
The shop hop sounds fantastic. I've never been on one for some reason.
busy, busy, busy! But that's like me at the moment. I have lots of plans but no energy.
JILL IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE GETTING A LOT DONE FROM THAT VERY LONG LIST OF THINGS YOU ARE WORKING ON OR PLAN ON WORKING ON. I HOPE YOU TWO HAVE FUN ON THE SHOP HOP. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON ONE, I HAVENT HAD ANYONE TO GO WITH OR WOULD HAVE TO WORK. BUT NOW THAT I AM ON DAYS I GET MORE TIME TO MYSELF TO DO THINGS, BUT DONT REALLY WANT TO DO THEM ALONG. HAVE A FUN TIME, TELL BARB I SAID HI. I BET BOTH PUPS WOULD LOVE A SWEATER FROM MAMA
Don't beat yourself up over not getting as much done as you wanted. This quilting is supposed to be a hobby. I bet the nap did you far more good than a few hours quilting.
Have fun at your hop
Love and hugs Gina xxx
Sounds like you're sloughing off without me supervising! ;0) Hope you had fun at the guild mtg last night. Get the rest of that sweater knit! Have fun at the shop hop. Just noticed there is one in Chico this weekend too! Wonder if I can talk hubby into taking me. lol
Who is this Barb girl?!?! You sure are spending a lot of time with her. She must be fun! Maybe I can meet her sometime LOL.
I'm totally with Pinkie Pie - sooooo many plans but no energy to initiate them. I'd blame my husband or 4 year old, but I can't. It's all me!!!
Can't wait til Saturday!
HOLLLLLAAAA!
