Quilting finished!!

Yesterday, after another 2 and a half hours of quilting, I finished the SIS quilt!

All those blue marks on the quilt are where the thread broke or the bobbin thread ran out. I think only 3 or 4 are for the bobbins running out. Can you see how this would be frustrating???

And a close up of the panto.

I used a spool of green variegated Connecting Threads thread. I think that the reason I was having so many issues is because the spool is almost empty. Generally, I don't have problems with these spools when they are new or almost full. I guess that since I have used so much of the green, I should get a spool of a Superior thread in a similar colorway. Time to start looking for sales! lol

Anyway, after I finished the quilt, I took a little break and let the dogs have a treat.

I think they thoroughly enjoyed their bones, the sun and the fresh air!! :)

THe quilt turned out wonderful. I would love to have it on my bed. :)
I like the quilting design you used too. The dogs look throughly happy--what more could you want==good bones and sunshine.

The quilting looks great. Nice texture on the panto without being too dense. Too bad about the thread breaking, but I'm sure it won't show once it's gone through the wash. The greens are so soothing, what a nice quilt.

Awesome! I am quilting Regina's SIS quilt on Wednesday. Hers shot ahead of mine so I can give it back to her when she comes down in October. Hopefully I can get mine quilted before then too so I can show it to her.

Your panto quilting is looking good, amazing how much it improves with practice.

I love it!! Great design. What do you do with the blue taped areas? How do you anchor the thread? just curious.
