When Becca and I rolled into Shipshewana at a little after 2 PM on Thursday, we were one of the last attendees to arrive. Most of the spots in the quilt room were taken or being saved and we had our choice of 2 different spots that were left together where we could sit together - one was across from each other in the middle of the room and the other was sitting next to each other and facing the windows.
I chose the spot facing the windows! :) While we sewed and it was still light out, we could see the cars on the road and the buggies that were driven along the shoulders. It was a very peaceful setting!
On Thursday night, the sky was a stormy blue gray and the sun was still shining brightly on the red barn and the view was magnificent. Unfortunately, I knew at this time that I had very little battery power on my camera and I didn't want to waste it on the view. You will have to take my word for it!
From my seat, if I turned my head to the left, this is the view that I had of the rest of the room.
Up against the back wall on the other side of the room from the windows, there were tables set up with mats and rulers for cutting and the snack table was at the end of the cutting tables.
And this is what I saw if I turned around. Of course, this was on Saturday afternoon/evening when decided that I just had to take pictures and there was one group of gals that had to leave due to a family emergency. Those gals had been sitting directly behind me.
We also had a nice welcoming view every time we went into the quilt room.
The Inn was just gorgeous also!
The Inn, the rooms and the staff were so wonderful! We are already planning for next year and the next year! I can't wait!!!

What a gorgeous view! I would have chosen the windows too.
