Still not in panic mode...

Time is quickly running short on completing Christmas presents in time. But I am NOT in panic mode! Well, not right now. I think that my time is pretty laid out between now and Saturday and I am sure that I will be able to get the things done that need to be done. And if I don't, I know that the world won't end!

There are certain things that aer falling by the wayside... I have over 100 emails in my inbox to respond to and 75 blog posts to read. I will get to them, but they are definitely not a priority. If you have left a comment on a past post and I haven't responded, please know that I read it and appreciate each and every comment and I will try to reply very early next week. And I intend for my normal routine to be resumed within the next week!

Oh and there was nothing new for me to report for Tiny Tuesday so I decided to 'postpone' that post until next week, also. I do plan to catch up on the weeks where I didn't get anything done. I have printed through block 15 so I am ready!

This afternoon, I will be leaving work early to head home and sew. Tomorrow, my parents (and possibly my brother, but that has not yet been confirmed or denied) are coming over to stay at my house for the night. We are going to dinner at a local Mexican joint and then will be watching the 2 best Christmas movies ever - Christmas Vacation and The Ref - while my mom and I hand stitch the binding on my granma's quilt. They are also bringing their dogs over so it will be interesting to see how their dogs and my pups play together. Expect pictures!

So this is my list!

1. Finish cleaning house - 2 toilets, 1 sink, 1 shower, 1 mirror

2. Cut out 3 more snuggies

3. Sew all 4 snuggies together

4. Finish the binding on the twin size quilt

5. Attach the binding and hand stitch it down on Granma's quilt

6. Label both quilts

7. Make a bag for a present

8. load a small quilt on the frame to show my parents how it works and let them try it out.

9. Wash dog blanket that is a gift

10. Wrap presents

11. Make dog blanket for the pups - they are already missing the one that is for my aunt!

And I think that is it. And I'm still not panicking! Better check back in with me tomorrow! :)

Glad to hear you aren't panicking. As long as nobody is going to be upset if some of that doesn't get done. Good luck keeping up your Christmas spirit.

JILL IF WORSE COMES TO WORSE YOU CAN ALWAYS DO WHAT I HAD TO DO ONE YEAR. WITH WORKING AND OTHER THINGS OUT OF MY CONTROL, I DIDNT GET THE LAST PRESENTS FINISHED. I WRAPPED WHAT I HAD DONE AND GAVE THEM TO THE PEOPLE THEY WERE MEANT FOR, THEN I EXPLAINED THAT I NEEDED THE ITEMS BACK TO COMPLETE. THEY RECEIVED THE ITEMS BACK IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK.

OMG you are NOT in a panic??? I AM! :( But I have come to realize that I can't do it all, I'm having to take a lot of breaks because of my right hip so that is slowing me down a lot. I have Mom's huge quilt on the frame now and it measures 122", I might get it quilted but I know that the binding will NOT get done. I am also trying to finish up binding on another quilt that I sold and needs to be done tomorrow!!! Laundry is piled up and my house is a mess....YES I AM IN A PANIC!!!!

Wow, glad you're not panicking! That's quite the list yet, but like you said, it's not the end of the world if it's done late. Next year we're not going to wait until December to do stuff OK?!?!

I agree with Regina - very do-able, and especially with help from your mom. Hope all the pups get along well!
