Got my hands dirty....

By playing in some dirt!

When I was leaving work, I saw a cute baby spider plant on a co-worker's desk and we talked about trading babies. When I got home, I grabbed a planting kit that has been aging in the house for several years, got the mini pots out and set them up to receive the babies from my spider plant. And since I had the dirt out, I added dirt to the existing pots and tried to crumble up the old dirt that has gotten packed down over the past several years.

Now, I have 3 new pots and 1 pot left over to take to work for the co-worker's baby. I'm also going to give her one of the smaller babies so that it can grow into the pot it's in.

All that is left is remembering to water the pots regularly!!

Love it!! Go get one of those birds that sit in your plants and chirp when they need water!! That will let you know to water!!
I have plants that need repotting here too, and now that it is actually warm enought to melt the snow here, I am ready to do some spring planting, even it it will be a couple months before I can do it outside!!! My houseplants would love to be treated kindly! Enjoy your new 'freinds'!!

I water every Monday. Simple and I should be able to remember it. But, I still have to write it in my planner sometimes.

Good for you! I would love to have a window box like you do so I could have some more plants.
