Friday Night No Sew In

Here it is about 9 PM on Friday night and I am getting ready to turn off the laptop and climb into bed with the pups to watch some TV and maybe read. This is towards the end of the second week of little to no sewing and I'm still feeling like all I want to do is watch TV or read. I have been getting books finished, but no sewing.

I'm happy to report that I have been to the grocery store again this week to pick up the few little things that were still on sale and that I still had coupons for but that were not available last week. I am set for a good long time except for dairy and produce and those will be the only things that I need when I go back in a week. I am set with lunches and dinners for a while and the only things that I really need are recipes that will be good for freezing and more containers in which to freeze portions.

I'm happy to report that I took my lunches and snacks to work every day this week! I even ate oatmeal for breakfast twice instead of buying food in the cafeteria for breakfast! It's a great start!

And I am OFF the soft drinks! Monday was my last root beer in the office and even though there are lemon lime drinks in my fridge, they are going to just stay there!

I'm going to be getting back on the Weight Watchers plan, but for the time being I am just concentrating on the water intake and increasing my fruit and vegetable intake. Well, and increasing the physical movement as well, of course!

I do have a list of things to do this weekend including dinner at my sister's house to celebrate my nephew's first communion and my niece's confirmation. I'm hoping that the remainder of the time will be spent watching movies that I have from the library, straightening up the kitchen and bedrooms and finishing up a few things on my sewing list.

I promise to make some progress this weekend and have something exciting to show! Stay tuned!!

Good for you with the couponing, meal prep, and lack of soda! Hope you have a great weekend, whether or not you do any sewing.

Enjoy your evening. Sometimes you just have to take a break.

Your list is, as usual, inspiring. We look forward to your report and project reveals.

Go you! We're concentrating on more veggies, too. If we increase my veggie intake, our eating is "golden".

Great job! I rejoined WW back in January and while it's been a slow process for me, I've started walking and following the plan and have lost 13 pounds so far. I need to hit the grocery store because we are all out of fresh fruit.

No wonder that you don't want to sew, you stay busy all of the time. Maybe you just need a good little break.

Yay! Weight Watchers! I have my good and bad days, I just wish this weather would break so that I can get back to walking again.
