FNSI and Saturday finish up

Thursday night, I loaded the cow quilt onto the frame so that I could work on quilting it during FNSI. This quilt measures 90 x 108. It's HUGE! I really pushed myself and got about 2/3 of the way through last night. Today, I spent a little less than an hour and finished the quilting. Then, I got the quilt trimmed, the label made and the binding on!

I did a stipple and a Lava black and white variegated in the top and black Bottom Line in the bobbin.

And the backing is the black, white and pink Grease fabric with a bit of the black with the flowers from the front.

And while I was quilting, the pups had to go into their cage. Max doesn't like the quilt machine and sound the frame makes when the quilt is advanced and he runs around the house and up and down stairs whenever I finish a row because he thinks I am done. So to keep him in one spot and to keep him from hurting his back and shoulder, I have been putting both pups in their cage. When I came upstairs today, Maisy had her face smooshed up against one of the windows of the cage, but she moved before I could get a good picture of it.

The quilt looks great, but boy, do I feel sorry for those puppies in that cage! (j/k - I totally understand and it would drive me crazy if my dog did that - she just thinks that I am downstairs to play ball with her every time I am quilting)
