My dear friend Kristie decided that we all need to show off some of our old quilts whether they be months old or years old.
My first quilt to show is a Storm at Sea. When I started quilting, I took a lot of classes at a local quilt shop that has since closed. I signed up for this class without even realizing that the pattern called for templates and I almost dropped the class because I just did not want to work with templates.
I'm so glad that I didn't drop the class!
I bought the kit from the shop so that I didn't have to worry about matching any colors and because the quilt was just gorgeous as it was and I didn't think that I would be able to find any better colors.
The pattern is from the book More Quilts from the Quiltmaker's Gift.
I finished the quilt top in 2007 and had it quilted in 2009 at the same quilt shop that closed.
The fabrics are all batiks including the backing. This backing looks like it was made for this quilt except for the green. :)
So show off your own quilt and post it on Kristie's blog post here.
Maisy just loves all the quilts!

My gosh! I love that one!! That is on my bucket list. It has been a favorite of mine for years. I ran on to a mini Storm At Sea, UFO that I have and it reminded me. Thanks for showing!
Have a wonderful and Blessed day

It is stunning - one of these days, I will make a storm at sea, and I hope it will look as nice as yours!
