Quilt-A-Thon Friday - 10/5

I set a challenge for myself on Wednesday to get 5 customer quilts and 1 quilt for myself quilted by Sunday night.

And then, I started feeling lumps in my throat. Nothing really troublesome, but not really great news.

I got a quilt loaded on Wednesday night and started quilting it last night. This quilt is for Heather who is a fellow CMQG member. I can not wait to get the quilt off the frame to see how it looks because the effect that I am seeing on the frame is stunning! If I do say so myself. lol

And tonight, I am just about halfway through with the quilting. I can't show the quilt yet, but I can do a close up. The quilting ended up being a lot denser than I realized it would be and I have already gone through 3 bobbins.

From 10-2012

I just love the colors! I hate working on things that I can't show off on the blog, but it should not be too long before I can reveal this one. I promise!

Right now, I am going to get some rest to try and beat this sore throat. It is now sore to swallow. Sigh...

I'm linking up at Judy's Quiltathon Day 2 post.

:-( no fun being sick when you have ambitious plans! Loving the dense quilting - very "flowy". Hope you feel better tomorrow!

I was setting a similar goal of getting at least five customer quilts done by Sunday. I did my annual check-up on Wednesday and found out i have a UTI. Yuk, starting to feel better today. I have two more quilts to go to meet my goal. Guess I'll try for finishing them by Thursday. Hope you are feeling better too.

Hope it's just a quick little annoyance and not a major hanging around sore throat :( I hate that when I set some goals and the body doesn't cooperate with the plans!

Love the quilting on this one. I do a similar quilting sometimes, it's easy but man it takes forever to get it done. I do like how it looks in the end.

Have a wonderful and Blessed day
