I am OK

I just wanted to start this post with letting everyone know that I am OK. I will be fine. My car, now that is a different story. I was involved in a major car accident tonight on my way home from work. At this point, I have no transportation until I get a rental car which will hopefully be tomorrow.

Someone pulled out in front of my and I t-boned her. The airbags deployed and I lost my breath. I have a burn on my upper right arm and am very sore throughout my chest and back. I am having problems lifting my arms while holding anything. I have a cut on the bridge of my nose - well, it is more towards my left eye than on the bridge. I went to the hospital in an ambulance and they did an EKG and monitored me and said I would be fine and sent me on my way with some drugs. I hope these are good drugs.

They say that I will be OK. I have no idea where my car is. I wasn't able to take pictures of my car or the other car. I wasn't able to get the witness information. I don't know what the cops names were or anything about the other driver. When I left the scene, the cops were talking to each other and said they were citing the other driver.

I went to the ER that my sister works in and I called her and she came over to sit with me and take me home. She brought the boys and Spencer looked really shocked to see me in the hospital bed with the stickers all over me from the EKG. Ethan just kept saying mimi and something else, but I couldn't make that out.

I have tried calling some work people to let them know that I wouldn't be in tomorrow since I will have to call and get information on the car.

Tomorrow, the saga continues.

Oh, Praise the Lord you are ok! My goodness! Please take care of you! Cars can be replaced. Thanks for keeping us up to date!

Oh My God Jill!!! I'm so glad to hear that you're for the most part ok. Now make sure you take care of yourself and if you need PT for whiplash or a chiropracter, get it. I didn't and now I'm paying for it (my body). Cars can most definitely be replaced; Jill's cannot.

Don't push it tomorrow. Your body needs to recover. Call the insurance company and make them do the leg work; that's what we pay premiums for. Hopefully if she was being cited that will put the repairs in her ball park.

Remember your ice, your heat or whatever they told you to do and make sure you've got some good muscle relaxors or pain pills. Gosh, I've never had an air bag go off, I bet that scared the shit out of you. Was the cut from your glasses?

I'm so glad that you are alright. the car is not important, you are. take all the time and help you need to recover. Like Jen says let the insurance company get the details from the police.

love and great big hugs xxxx

Oh my goodness. I am very thankful you are ok. I agree with the others, call the police and get some basic info and then the insurance company and let them do the leg work. Get lots of rest and make sure you do what you need to do to recover - chiro or physical therapy, heat or ice.... Let those puppies snuggle up to you - that might be the best medicine!
Lots of hugs!

Wow Jill! We are all praying for your recovery. At least you were able to come home. It sounds like you've been through a lot! Take all the time you need to relax and recover. You will need it. Thinking of you and hoping you make a speedy recovery.

I'm so glad to hear that for the most part you'd OK. Sure you ache but that's what the drugs are for. Do what the DR's tell you to do and don't try and be brave and rush back to work. The important thing is that Jill gets better. A car well, it's a pain but it can always be either replaced or fixed but a Jill is not replaceable. I agree with the others let the insurance company do the work that's what we all pay those premiums for. Rest with the puppies they'll take good care of you.
A gentle hug coming your way
