It was a rough week! I worked late 3 nights. We are having auditors come in on Monday morning and I had to get things in order for them. I was busy all week long! Then, at my quilt class on Tuesday, things didn't work out all of the way with the applique table runner. I need to practice some more on my blanket stitch, but I don't think that I will be making a bunch of them for presents this year. Although I might end up surprising myself! Friday night, I had my second star and nine patch class. We learned how to make the pieces for our pieced border. Out of 4 of us there, only one student had all of her blocks done.
Today, I went shopping with a couple of the ladies from the small group and got some goodies.
This will be for placemats and the easy striped table runner for a friend of the family who lives in Florida near my parents.
I also got this to make Christmas runner.
Placemats and small blanket quilt kits for the nephews.
This will be for another purse - the yellow paisley will be the focus fabric and the brown will be then accent. The checked will go inside the purse.
It got some batting and Maisy sort of adopted it as a new blanket.

What a great bunch of goodies you bought.
Stanley is like Maisy, he pounces on any wadding or quilts that fall on the floor.
love and hugs xxx
Oh I love the new fabrics. They will make really cute tablerunners. I love that pattern for the placemats! Pearl Louise who designs those patterns lives here, so I got to her shop every once in a while to see what new designs she has come up with.
Is that paisley from the sunshine moda collection by chance? I used that for a purse lining, and I just LOVE it!!
I think Maisy has found her calling. She just wants to keep that warm for you.
Send her my way...I just got a bolt of batting for my birthday. She'd be in heaven!!
