This is the Spools top.
At the time that I bought the backing fabric, I didn't but the binding fabric. I thought that I would try and get the blue fabric from the line that was used in the top. It is royal blue with white stippling printed on it. I have the black with the stippling for the backing. I search online and can't find any stores that have the blue with stippling. Here is the black for the backing.
I thought that I would lay out the top and see how it would look with the black as the binding because it is still available at some stores if I don't have enough on hand.
What do you think? Is the black OK for the binding?

This is the first spool pattern that has caught my eye. These really look like sewing spools of thread. Seems as if the other ones were just empty spools...with the thread on them it makes them look alive - or something. Great job!

I also joined the ufo group but then forgot to carry through and didn't commit to anything. Guess I must be too busy or at the very least, not organized.
