Disappointing News

*sigh*

I will not be working at the Bloomington Quilt Show with the Shoppe. A co-worker's father-in-law passed away and she will be out of town until Sunday. So, I am needed in the shop. It's nice to be needed, but I was looking forward to the experience of working at the show. I'm sure there will be other opportunities for me. This will give me a chance to get some work done around the house and to get some sewing done, too.

So, anyone who was planning on coming to see me at the booth, please still plan on stopping by! Tell them I sent you! And check out the awesome quilts that will be on display! I am planning on getting a kit for the Monet watercolor quilt. It's spectacular! I will post pictures when I get a few of it! Maybe Tuesday night.

OH, the newsletters came out for the Spring quarter and I have a class that I am teaching and have had a few ladies already say they were going to take it.

And we are trying something new - Drive in and Sew! It's was something that I pitched to Jan and she loved the idea. We are going to show An Officer and a Gentleman the first night - April 3. It's going to be a great way to get together and do nothing but sew or work on your projects. I am hoping that it fills up. What's better than spending an evening sewing? Away from home and distractions? :)

Awww - I know you were looking forward to the show... but sometimes it IS good to be able to stay home.

The Drive in and Sew sounds fun! Wish I was just a little bit closer!

I plan on signing up. That'll be such a fun way to spend a Friday night! Kudos for thinking of it and for convincing Jan.

Oh, you have gotten my attention with the "Monet Watercolor" kit.... how do I get one??? STOP ME!!! I have wanted to do a watercolor for forever!!
I am sorry that you won't be at the show, but it is good of you to be at the shop to help your co-worker. I hope you get alot of sewing done (dont worry about the work around the house! ;-))

And I love the idea of the 'Drive & Sew'!! Great idea. I hope you end up with a full house!!! I might even go to something like that, it just sounds fun!!

Sorry to hear you won't make it to Bloomington, but I'll still stop by your shop's booth. Hope you have a productive weekend!
