I had a much better time with the thread. I pretty much doused the top thread with Sewer's Aid and kept the needle lubed with it, too. And no trouble with the bobbins because I used ones that I knew from experience worked with the bobbin case. Star brand thread was used on the top and Bottom Line in the bobbin.
