I’m taking classes from Bonnie Hunter with some of my peeps! Just before retreat in April, Jennifer mentioned that Bonnie was coming to her Guild. I said that I would love to take her class and Jennifer invited me to go and said that I could stay with her or her mom, too. It turns out that the classes are on a Friday and Saturday. I had to ask work to make sure that I could have the Friday off and once I got the OK, I sent in my registration!
I’m so excited! Friday is the Star Struck class and Saturday is the Crumb class. I was a little hesitant about doing the crumb class, but once I read Bonnie’s description from her website, I got really excited!
Last Saturday, when I worked at the shop, Mary told me to make up scrap bags from our scrap box. I was able to make 8 bags. And while I was stuffing them, I figured out which one was the best one and I set it aside for me. Then, Linda talked me into buying a second bag! I estimated the scraps to be about 2 yards in each bag.
And since we had a little bit of time to kill before closing up the shop, we looked through some books. While doing that, Jamie came in and said hi. It’s always nice to meet fellow bloggers!
I ended up buying these books.
Since I registered for the classes, I found out that Linda and Becca will be able to go and have already sent in their registrations for the classes. We are going to have so much fun! It's going to be a mini-peep retreat!

You will have fun with Bonnie, she was in our guild before she moved to NC. An amazingly nice person who always astonished us with the beautiful scrap quilts she made. Tell her that the quilters in Aiken SC miss her! Have fun!
I am sure you will have a terrific time! I had the opportunity to take a class when she was visiting a guild in Gettysburg but I had other plans that could not be changed. I am so sorry that I couldn't go. Who knows how long it will be before she is near me again!?!
We are all so lucky! I can hardly wait.
Heh. Glad to see I'm not the only one who buys scraps. I'm jealous about the Bonnie Hunter workshop - have fun!
Woo hoo - glad all three of you got your registrations in - I am excited that you are all coming!
THis whole buying scraps concept just kills me.
