Knitting sock

I meant to take a picture of my progress on my sock last night, but I couldn't put the needles down long enough until my eyelids were crashing shut and then I just needed sleep. :)

The class on Monday was great! The class is split pretty much down the middle on how everyone is making their socks - half double pointed needles and half circular needles with 1 gal being real adventurous and knitting 2 socks at once! I decided to stick with the DPNs that I know, but I am watching the gals with the circulars so that I can understand what they are doing, too. The pattern that we are using is pretty fluid, too, as far as the design of the sock. It seems that most of the gals are doing the K2, P2 ribbing all the way down the ankle of their socks and only 2 of us are doing a 1" cuff of ribbing and then the stockinette stitch for the rest of the ankle.

I have finished the cuff and started the stockinette and I am really pleased with the way the color is coming through in the sock. I'm so glad that I picked this ball!!

Looking good! You'll be ready to start that second sock in no time. I am interested in learning on circular needles and the two at once idea is intriguing. However, since I have a full set of six different sizes of DPNs, I'd better stick to that method for now.

I love the knitted tube sock style. There is no heel to graft and all that.
