Now that I have exhausted the topic of my 2010 crafting goals, I have been able to get back on track with sewing. Look at this massive mound of material!
Pictured, you will notice the 2 stacks of strips. These are the 4 patches pieces that I have spent 10-15 minutes each morning and even more time each evening trimming for the SIS quilt. I finished pinning them this evening and they are ready for their final sew!
You will also notice the mess of HSTs that have had their first seam stitched. Tomorrow, I will sew the second seam and cut them apart. I am prepping for work to take with me on Saturday.
What's Saturday, you ask? I'm so glad that you did!! Saturday, I am going to Barb's house to sew!! Her hubby is out of town for the weekend and she has someone to watch Lucy for a while during the day and I am lucky enough to be able to go over and crash at her house - sans the pups, I might add - for a day of fabulous friends and fun! We are very excited! (Holllllaaaaa!!!)
The other things that I plan on prepping and toting along to Barb's house will be made with the other fabric in the picture. Sock monkeys!! I hope that there is enough left over for a sock bag for myself!
In totally unrelated news, I ordered new windows and a patio door for my condo this week. I'm very excited for this home improvement to be finished before the end of the summer!
