Closer to a finish

Over the weekend, there were a couple of things that I got done that I haven't shared yet. I was able to watch TV, cuddle with the pups and finish crocheting the granny squares for my afghan!

I also was able to get the rest of the binding sewn down on the Santa quilt. I got it labeled, too, and decided to call it Memories of Santa.

I have to share that tonight I was able to get the black and white blocks straightened out. Only the black blocks were shorter, but I have enough to be able to make it work. I did have to trim some of the white blocks down, but it was better to do that than to have a bunch of those blocks too short. I'm quite relieved that I will be able to get back to these blocks soon without too much of a hassle!

Maisy is pretty happy, too!

Great job on the afghan squares. And what can be better than cuddling with the dogs? Too bad you don't live in Vegas, our dogs could go for a walk ;-D

I love the runner - a reminder that Christmas is just around the corner. I haven't made granny squares in years - yours are beautiful. Give Maisy a pat for me!

Jill, I've ran across you here and there over the last year.

I'm so glad that now you're on my Google Reader because I enjoy you and your blog (and seeing you on FB) so much.

And besides all that - I love that you love your babies.

Jill, I am quite impressed. You are a wonderful quilter, great knitter, and now I find that you also crochet. You go girl. You do it all, of course with the help of your faithful friends, Maxie and Maisy. (grin) Have a great day. Winona

How fun to have handwork to be able to watch TV and be productive at the same time. Glad you figured out how to fix the black and white blocks, it would have been a shame to let it turn into a UFO.

wish I knew how to knit. Would love to have a portable hobby to tote around with me.
