Long weekend plans

I am so happy that it is the beginning of a long weekend and the weather is refreshing and not stifling and the pups are happy and my belly is full!

I haven't posted in a couple of days because I haven't been doing much other than quilting on my SIS quilt. I have done at least an hour each night since I loaded it on the frame. Apparently, I picked a crappy thread to use on top because I keep having breakage and after 2 or 3 breaks, I give up for the night. Today is the day that it is getting finished though! It is so close!!

Yesterday, I called the Grace Frame Company and ordered new tracks for the frame. They cost $12 each which I didn't think was bad at all considering they are the 10" length. I am hoping that they will be here by the end of next week. They will definitely make using pantos so much easier because the gliding on the carriage will be smooth again.

I also plan on cutting some fabric today! I MUST bust something this week! I have bindings for a bajillion quilts that I have just done and the Split Decision in Whimsy that needs to be cut and started.

And I received a box in the mail on Thursday that I still haven't opened because I haven't had my camera handy to take a picture of how everything is wrapped up. The dogs were excited to see the box and the first layer of things though!

Speaking of the dogs, they are in for a couple of treats this weekend. Maxie gave me quite a scare Friday morning at 3AM and Maisy may have saved him so they will both get special bones today and probably on Monday. And last night, they get cups of ice cream!

Well, that is it for my mini update. I'm off to clean up a little and then to hit the basement and quilt!!

Oh, no! Good puppy, Maisy, for saving your brother. My heart sinks every time I hear of incidents with pups. Sounds like he's okay if he's eating ice cream!

Have a fun weekend busting! I need to follow your lead!

Can't wait to see your SIS all quilted! I just busted a "repurposed" men's shirt and the cuffs and collar off a sweatshirt, but created a UFO since I want to use the rest of the sweatshirt to make a jacket... It's never ending! :-)

I saw the cutest puppy today, 1/2 mini dashound, 1/2 skipperkey (?). Makes me think I am getting ready to start wanting another inside dog. Glad to hear yours are both OK. cw
