I got the wall hanging quilted for my co-worker! Woo hoo!
Karen is retiring on October 1 and she is very excited. One of Karen's employees is a quilter and asked me if I would mind quilting something for Karen's employees to give to her for the retirement. Considering how fun and caring Karen is, I was honored to be able to do something for her!
There is embroidery on each side of the white border - October 1, 2010; the name of Karen's employees; Friendship Star Quilt; and "Friends are the sunshine of life!"
I just did a simple stipple pattern avoiding the embroidery in a light yellow. :)
Also, this is the first thing that I have quilted since I put the new tracks on the quilting frame. Oh my God!!! The carriage practically flies over the tracks. It was awesome!!

lovely quilt, I like the stars, gives me an idea for a scrappy. cw
very nice!
What a lovely quilt. She will love it. As far as the new tracks....isn't it always the way it goes...that we don't realize how bad something is until we finally fix it? Glad it went so smoothly for you. Makes you want to throw something else on there now, doesn't it?
What a pretty and thoughtful gift! You did a great job on it!
Oh my word - you're going to make her blush with happiness.
Very cute! Glad to hear the tracks are working well.
