With retreat looming, I realized that I needed a new purse for the occasion. That's right! I added something else to my plate at almost the last minute, but I have been carrying this tiny little thing for far too long and my contents were busting out of it!
I knew that Barb and I were going to have a sewing day today so I decided that instead of just working on my witch blocks, I would make a bag, too. I decided on the Margo Lazy Girl bag and I pulled fabric from my purse kit stash. :) The line is called Surf and Sand.
The pattern is great! And I can totally see myself making this again! I have already loaded the contents of the black purse into it and there is plenty of room for a little more. Woo hoo!
Barb spent the day making a purse for her mom and she should have pictures up on her blog once it's done. It was looking very cute when I left!

That looks great! Making a new Margo bag is on my plate today also.
That is super cute....I've made a bunch of the Lazy Girl purses (the little one with the zipper on the front) and they work up so fast and cute! Nice work...love the fabric choices...
That is a very cute purse and I love that it has a zipper. Don't worry, you will fill it up too! I went from a smaller one to a really big one and it's loaded now too!
Fabulous bag. I ahven't made anew one for ages. I'll have to have a look out for some good patterns I think
Love and hugs Gina xxx
Very cute. I can't believe you made it in ONE day. I still don't have my first bag done. :0( Oh well, someday.
VERY CUTE PURSE JILL. HEY IF YOU EVER GET TIRED OF IT, I THINK I KNOW SOMEONE THAT WOULD LOVE TO TAKE IT OFF YOUR HANDS......LOL....
Awesome!! I have that pattern AND I found some "new to me" fabrics that would make a great bag so I think that's what I'll work on over the winter.
What a cute purse and I love the fabric you used!!
