I'm making good progress on the Radiant Star quilt for my granma!
I decided to sew the center in 3 different sections so that I only have to sew 3 big seams. I am almost finished with the first section.
I did mention on my stash report yesterday that I had to replace one of the fabrics. Here is a picture of the layout before I made the replacement. The fabric replaced is the one that is sticking out at the top. I the change works a lot better.
Maxie tried out the fleece blanket today. I think that I will need to make one for the pups. It's a good thing that the fleece is on sale this week!

it's looking good!
Love the blues!! How funny, I'm listening to a 'bluesy' version of "Merry Christmas, Baby" while I read your post! :)
nifty pattern ... it looks like a trip around the world with well planned use of 9 patches.... super job. Is it a commercial pattern?
Ohhhh...I'm loving it!!!

Maxie looks stunning! :)
There is something so soothing about blue and yellow! Your Granma is going to love this!
WOW, that Radiant Star is so striking! Your Grandma will love it I am sure!
That is going to be fantastic and I agree with the change in fabric.
WOW! Looks great.
Wow! I really like that!
JILL I THINK THIS ONE IS BETTER LOOKING THAN THE SAMPLE YOU MADE. DO YOU GET HANCOCKS AD? THE HAVE A GREAT DEAL ON FLEECE ALOT THIS TIME OF YEAR. HAPPY QUILTING
Beautiful quilt! Your Gramma will love it.
I agree the replacement fabric is much better. My luck I wouldn't realize it until I had it all sewed together, lol. It really is lovely.
Your Grandma is going to love that quilt. The substitution was definitely a change for the better. Is it going to be a Christmas gift?
Looking good. Looks better with the "new" fabric.
Liking the progress on your radiant star quilt.
Yes you are!
Love the change - it works much better. I think with the original fabric that the squares were too distracting. Good for you for getting so much done this weekend - maybe you'll inspire me LOL
HOLLLLLAAAAA!
