Saturday night, I put the final stitches into the binding of the SIS quilt. This quilt started as a "Sister Initiation Swap" with Regina and her sister Sue and we all swapped neutrals. The pattern is 16 patch and Pinwheels from Mary's pattern site. I used the same color - green - but changed the borders up a little.
This is a UFO finish because I pieced and quilted it in 2010. I even had the binding attached by the October retreat and I used it to sleep under in Shipshewana. But I didn't get around to stitching the binding down until this month.
I'm calling this quilt "One good SIS deserves another!"
Maisy really likes this quilt!
Here is the pattern. I quilted it using a green variegated from Connecting Threads, green Bottom Line and Warm and Natural batting. And the Popcorn pantograph. The backing was an extra wide from Joann's and it feels awesome! I love how it turned out!
And Maisy really does like it!
