FNSI results - 4/15/11

Well, I don't have anything to show for my Friday Night Sew In. I sat at the laptop and wrote up the post about the quilt show last weekend. I was also distracted several times by the pups.

And when that was happening, I was drawing up a quilt idea in EQ7. And I can't show that yet because it is going to be for a challenge. The last Guild that I joined was the Cincinnati Modern Quilt Guild with Barb and the Modern Quilt Guild just announced the Challenge 3 which is a quilt inspired by the word Organic.

Barb is going to make one for this challenge and she really thinks that I should try and make a quilt to enter. I sort of brainstormed on Organic and discussed it a little with Regina and I think that I have an idea. So I spent last night drawing it up in EQ7.

It wasn't working as well as I had hoped last night, but after pondering my efforts a little more, I think that I have a good working design and am ready to pick out fabrics to get started. Of course, submissions are not due until the end of June so I have a little bit of time.

Not a really great FNSI, but I was also exhausted and went to bed a little early. I was happy with what I did get done though, all things considered. And I have 2 more days to spend sewing!

I was going to enter that challenge, too! I have an idea in my head. Just gotta think of the execution.

I say virtual sewing counts just as much! Can't wait to see your design.

Sounds like you got something done to me! I think the planning is just as important as the actual sewing.....sometimes even more so!
