A little knitting, a little painting

Saturday, there was a Sock Club at Lambikin's and I was wondering if I should go or if I should stay home and paint. I got an email earlier in the week about the Sock Club and found out that Carol Fun is leading the club now with the new owner of the yarn shop so I really wanted to head out to knit with her, but I also wanted to get things done around the house.

When I woke up on Saturday, I figured that I had done so much on Friday that I deserved to go and knit a little before coming home to paint.

I worked on my two at a time socks that I started in November and probably haven't touched since December. I made great progress! I am about 2/3 done with the heel flap. WOO HOO!

I also picked up a skein of sock yarn that was on sale for the club. It's a lime green and tones of grey and smokey blue. It's very pretty and I am positive that I don't have anything like it!

When I got home, I spent some time with this.

I taped up the trim in the entry way and kitchen and painted the trim. I had trouble with a supervisor who thought I wasn't doing a very good job! Either that or thinks that listening to Ke$ha or an audiobook while working is not a good idea. lol

You can see how the trim is with the quarter round against the floor. With the fresh paint on the molding, it looks sharp! Unfortunately, when I pulled the tape off, there were spots where the paint came off the wall as well so I have to do some touch up this week. I think that the adhesive on this Frogtape was too strong. :(

I have plans to have all of the trim finished, the bathroom painted and the touch ups completed by the end of the month. I also have plans to start moving things out of the spare bedroom as soon as this painting is finished. And my old friend and coupon pal Jodi is going to help me paint the bedrooms and set up my stock pile. WOOT!! I'm getting very excited that things are getting done!

Maybe your supervisor wanted you to play not paint?

your socks are looking good. The supervisor is very cute. Sounds like you are getting a lot done and with help things will be a bit easier. Can't wait to see the finished project.

I'm glad someone bought that store. I know a lot of knitters are breathing a sigh of relief!

You go gurl! That condo will be painted in no time!

Like the colors of the new sock yarn!

Painting....isn't it fun!?!? I had the same problem....with dogs and paint coming off with the tape (although my tape is blue).
