Instead, I grabbed another hank of fabric scraps from the pile of Connecting Threads fabric and this is what I am going to use now.
Brights!! And dots!!
The dogs wouldn't move very much out of the way and I don't think that they are that interested in the brights...
Now, I'm hoping that I can get things cut and sewn tomorrow!

The colors look good to me. I am certain, though, that I am more excited looking than the dogs are. Perhaps they needed a nap?
