Lula update

The dogs all seem to be getting along better. I read up a little on dogs and packs and alpha behavior and started putting a few things into effect when I got home from work last night. I also spent time playing with all the dogs while dinner was on the stove and before I fed them. And the pups and I worked on showing her how to sit. She isn't quite picking up on bringing the toy back to me to throw it again, but she is getting closer.

After dinner and while I was sewing last night, she was upstairs with me and Maisy and while Maisy slept, Lula kept me company on the floor and at my feet. Luckily, she isn't bothered by the sewing machine.

After we went out for the last time, all the dogs wanted on the bed in the studio for a little nap time before bed.

Still no biting or attacking each other so I am taking this as a good sign! That and I haven't noticed anymore crying from Max so that makes me happy, too!

Sounds like Lula will be a part of the pack soon. It always is hard to bring a new member into an existing family. I'm glad that Max and Maisy are playing nice and are sharing their Mom time with Lula.

I'm glad that things are going a little better, I'm sure it will just take time. I know when I got little Smokey, he wouldn't leave the carpet area, I had to feed him there and everything. Of course, now I don't have any carpet and he does fine, but he will not go in the bathroom on the tile....weird. It took him forever to even go around the other dogs and he still doesn't like Jazz! He gets mad if Jazz comes near me. It is almost funny. BTW....you could just send little Max down here to me. :) He is so darn cute!
