Quilt-A-Thon Friday

I took today off of work and thought that I would spend the day relaxing and working on quilting. I ended up relaxing too much so I didn't get as much done on the quilting as I had wanted to. lol

I did get the baby quilt cut out and then started sewing pieces together. I am working on the yellow and blue and a UFO that I had for the same pattern in pink and green.

And here is the pink and green.

The pattern is Garden Magic from Sew One and You're Done by Evelyn  Sloppy. I'm on step 5 of 9 for both quilts so I think that I am doing pretty well! No doubt that I will get them both finished tomorrow so that I can move on to something else.

I also got most of the stitching ripped out on one of the quilting samplers this week. I just need to finish that up and I can get it re-loaded onto the frame and finish it up.

The dogs and I also enjoyed having the windows open all day to enjoy the cooler temps.

And we got a visit from a snapping turtle.

I think he needs a mani!

The quilt progress looks good but that turtle has to go!

Love your big turtle! Hunter caught a big one down at the pond a few weeks back and he was a mean one. :)

Can't wait to see your baby quilts finished. I have that book but I haven't made that pattern yet.

Those turtle can be quick too! He looks like a big one. I'll bet the dogs went nuts when they saw him.
Great progress on the quilts. 2 at a time.... Wow.

And isn't it CRAZY how big those turtles get?
