Word Verification

It seems that there is an issue with leaving comments and the word verification for Blogger. I know that I experienced this yesterday when trying to comment on another blog. The letters and numbers come up and then the commenter gets repeated errors that the typed combination does not match the picture. I know for a fact that mine matched at least twice and it was very frustrating to keep getting the error. I almost gave up!

So I am turning off my word verification for now. Especially with the Quilter's Blog Hop Giveaway post still getting some love. I don't want anyone to not enter and give up because Blogger is being a PITA. :)

you can always do the preview thing to prevent stuff showing up on your blog that you don't want .. I don't mind the word verification when I can actually read the words, but lately they've been blurred and very difficult.

I turned mine off also. I never even knew I had it, til I read about it. And trying to leave comments on other blogs, I sometimes have to click 5 times to get a combo I can actually read!

I have had more problems with word verification in the past few days than I ever did. Until recently I don't think I've ever had to redo one but in the past couple of days, there have been several that took a lot of tries. I use comment moderation on my blog-where I get an email with the comment and whether to publish or reject it. I don't get enough comments for it to be a big problem and you can do it a lot easier in blogger where you can publish/reject/etc multiple comments at once.

I noticed that lately too. I just thought I was off by one letter each time.

I don't use the verification box at all and I can say that in a year, I've had a relatively small amount of stuff that wasn't legitimate comments. It is a pain to use sometimes. Love your midget block!
