Not quite on Easy Street...

If you are looking for the Modern Designs for Classic Quilts book giveaway, it is in this post.

I have always wanted to do one of Bonnie Hunter's mysteries. For some reason, I have always been scared of how much work they involve and with them usually being during the holiday season, they have always taken last place to my holiday sewing.

This year, I don't have any holiday sewing going on! As a matter of fact, I just took a quilt off the frame and am prepping another to load tonight. Counting the one I am loading tonight, I only have 2 customer quilts in the house! Another one is coming next week, but I am really not feeling the holiday rush in that aspect either. (hint, hint to anyone who has put off having something quilted! lol)

I do have sort of tight deadlines on the 2 quilts that are in the house, but I should be able to get them both done by the end of the weekend. I'm in good shape! ;)

I still have the last Scrap Squad to make, but I plan on working on that over the next week as well so I should be very able to work on the mystery.

For anyone who missed it, the post with the fabric information is here. Greens, purples, aquas, a gray .... I'm good up until this point! It's the black on white prints that I am severely lacking!

Not that many purples, but I am OK with these colors and not having to purchase any additional ones. I also haven't searched around in my precut strips to see if there is anything else I can add.

I am using this charcoal gray because it is what I have and I would rather use stash.

Here lies the problem. I have white on white fabrics, creams, whites, cream on whites ... You name it, I probably got it. EXCEPT for black on whites! UGH!! I'm almost ashamed to show it off! The 2 fabrics to the right total 4 5" squares. There is a 2.5" strip in the middle, a FQ of pindots, 1/8 yard of the dogs and maybe a half yard of the balls. I'm actually shocked that I found this much. sigh...

Anyone want to trade? Tomorrow, I start perusing the net for sales....

Lula says that she can't even look at me...

If I had some to send I would - but this is lacking in my stash, too.

Ditto for me - I have enough to do the quilt (and I probably won't do the 96" version) but not much more. I could cut a couple strips if you want (maybe after we know what size we need) if you don't have any other takers for a trade!

I had everything except the grey. Had to buy that but I had enough black on white after I just finished a black and white challenge. Your colors look so nice together. I didn't think grey would go with the other colors but I was wrong.

Love the fabrics that you pulled for the mystery. My stash is dwindling away so I really don't have any of those brighter tones in mine and black on white is not something that I have ever bought because I just don't care much for it. :( Anyway, I am using blues, greens, dark reds, brown, and cream/beige all in warmer tones that is what I seem to have the most of. I love purple but I really don't have much of it in my stash, that is something that I need to change as soon as I can.

Have a wonderful and Blessed day
