Progress made!

I am so happy to report that my taxes are finished for the year! I was dreading filing with the business information, but I went to an accountant who is more knowledgeable than I am on taxes and I am so happy that I did. It took about an hour and I am done!

To celebrate, I am offering a discount on quilting services for quilts received in the month of April. Visit my Darling Jill Quilt Facebook page for more information. :)

I think that I have been keeping myself from quilting and piecing because of the dread I was feeling about the taxes and I was trying to use the quilting as motivation to get my information together and just get it done.

Little things are going on at the house and I am enjoying the bit of progress that is being made.

I switched back to Time Warner cable from Cincinnati Bell Fioptics cable. For local people, Fioptics is NOT awesome and is not worth the money savings. Well, in my opinion and that is why I went back to Time Warner. :) Mostly, the DVR box interface is very lacking and the DVR deletes shows that it thinks you shouldn't be watching. Might be true, but I saved the shows on the DVR box for a reason. Just sayin'.

I have been making fantastic progress on my sock. I will be showing pictures this Friday.

I have finished 4 books that I haven't reviewed yet and there are 2 more in the works as well. I think Granma enjoyed my selections for our trip to Florida. Perhaps the dogs did not and that is why there was a mutiny on the drive home?

The grass is starting to turn green and I am ready to get some flowers planted! I need to stop and pick up some supplies to try and grow my own snap dragons this year since I couldn't find any to plant last year.

And the taxes are done! I'm seriously impressed with how quick it took to get everything done and filed. I have always done my own taxes and mailed the forms in. Very manual process, but I was happy with knowing that it was all done and correct. Until last year when I had 3 months of the business to report, but Cathy looked everything over and said that I did a good job and she didn't see a need to re-file. Woo hoo!!

And finally, I have picked the color that I am going to use on the Inifinity Cardigan and I am ready to order the yarn! But I am going to wait until I get one or two of my own quilts quilted before I place the order. Or maybe until this weekend... Or heck, I may as well go and order it now! lol

How is everyone else doing?

You have been keeping busy! And your incentive is going to make me get a least one quilt to you by the end of the month!

Yay! I'm so happy for you that your taxes are done. It's really not so bad, yet I too dread it.
