Another week, another two books to review! :)
Touch & Go by Lisa Gardner is the latest thriller in her series set in Boston. This novel follows Tessa Leoni who was a character from a previous novel. Leoni is now an investigator for a private firm and has been called to action when a wealthy family in Boston disappears.
Justin Denbe, his wife Libby and their daughter Ashlyn appear to have a perfect life, but when is that ever true in novels? They have been taken at gunpoint and moved to an abandoned prison that Justin's business built. Tessa is working with local law enforcement and the FBI to try and find the family before it's too late.
As usual, there are twists and turns in the novel and a lot of edge of your seat action. Very hard to put down! But I did have an inkling about what could happen at the end. I really loved the book!
Last To Die is the latest in the Rizzoli and Isles series by Tess Gerritsen. The series on TNT is set to start up at the end of next month and I can't wait! It is so easy for me to read the series and picture the characters from the series acting out the scenes from the book.
Claire is breaking curfew in her foster house when the foster parents are murdered. Will is star gazing when the house he is living in with his aunt and uncle is blown up. Teddy was hiding under a bed when the entire foster family he has lived with 2 years is murdered. The three are in foster homes because their families were murdered 2 years ago with these kids being the only survivors.
As Jane investigates, Maura heads to Maine and the boarding school where Julian is living (Julian helped Maura survive in a previous novel) and Claire and Will are already at the school. So begins an investigation about the similarities between Claire, Will and Teddy.
The story is a little convoluted in how everything comes together, but the characters are interesting. And the book really flows the whole way through. I can't wait for the next in the series or for the TNT series to start!
