Yes, I finally got around to reading Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks. I still haven't watched the movie, but since I read the book I am feeling like the movie doesn't need to be watched.
Katie is new in a small town in NC and she has secrets. She makes friends with Alex who owns the general store and who is a widower. And then her secrets start to come out.
I wasn't expecting the twist with the neighbor, but the abusive husband storyline is pretty well played out. Although hearing the story from his perspective was pretty shocking. And a bit scary. Maybe I do need to watch the movie eventually...
Vision Impossible was the next Psychic Eye mystery by Victoria Laurie on my list. Abby has been asked to lend her psychic abilities to the CIA to help find a top secret drone. Abby asks for Dutch to be her cover and they are off on a whirlwind trip to DC for training. The only thing that Abby is 100% sure of is that they will make it out alive if they go on the mission together. But that doesn't stop them from butting heads.
I have to say that this might be one of the best in the series. Abby does a little ass kicking and Dutch and her work very well together to save the CIA's butt when the drone goes missing. There were quite a few things that I wasn't expecting and the ending was intense. I was ready to start the next book in the series right away!
Notorious Nineteen is the latest in the Stephanie Plum series (although, I think that I remember seeing that 20 is coming out this fall? maybe?). I'm a little disappointed in the last couple of books because they seem to have been shorter than the first several in the series. I'm not sure what gives, but it is almost a waste of time to read them.
This book is just another in the series with the same formula - Stephanie is out of money and needs to pull in a skip with a large bond, cars are blown up, she is torn between Morelli and Ranger, Lula eats too much... Although, Stephanie does manage to get Morelli to break the law a little. And they solve the case quite quickly - what can you expect when 2 whole hours are taken away from a book? All in all, this is just mindless entertainment.

I gave up on the Stephanie Plum series after book sixteen. There wasn't anything at all in that book that felt interesting until page 300 - and it was only 316 pages to begin with. It really felt like she chopped up the plots from the first dozen or so books and then drew pieces from a hat to piece together the next one.
I'm going to have to give the Psychic Eye books a shot. I've read through all of my series for now and need something new.
I read Safe Haven as soon as it came out and just watched the movie recently. I love both. The movie really brings out the neighbor plot really well. When my daughter read the book, she said she was confused about that storyline. But the movie shows it a lot better. I loved both.
I agree with you on Stephanie Plum. I'm getting tired of the same formula. I think Janet needs to shake things up a bit. It's played out already. CHOOSE between Ranger or Morelli and call the series done. I am looking forward to "20" though. :)
