I like using a medium gray thread in the top because it blends well. I think I used a gray in the bobbin, too.
And this was my favorite shirt in the quilt.
I had to piece the backing for Lynn. A red and white chevron from JoAnn's. It was a nice fabric! JoAnn's has come a long way with their fabric in the last couple of years.

Looks great and that chevron is great for the back.
I haven't seen that chevron yet there. Is it with their calicos and all that or in a special display? Their more expensive fabrics are usually displayed on their own. At least here in CT. And I do agree with you. I don't buy a lot of fabric there but in a pinch, it comes in handly. Great quilting of course. :)
Love the modern chevron on the back. Someday it will be a sign of the decade that it was made in!
