Today was sooo mcuh fun! Maddy and I had a great time going from shop to shop and seeing what each shop had to offer.
Well, the day didn't start off great. We worked at Crayons 2 Computers and we were basically yelled out within the first 10 minutes of walking in the door. The regular guy who gave us directions wasn't there and the lady who was directing was a total b*tch! I told Lynn and Amy that if I wasn't there waiting for Maddy, I would've walked out and that was only after being there for a little over an hour. Then, we were moved to the back to fold t-shirts and a couple of the ladies back there were apparently getting the same treatment so we all bonded. There was an old guy who was bringing boxes of materials out to people and we had to go and ask him for more shirts and he acted like we were bothering him. He was rude earlier, too. Then, we found out his name was Dick. I said to Lynn, "That is fitting." She said, "What's his last name, 'Head'?" For Lynn to say something like this, the guy had to be bad and it wasn't just my imagination! And when I left, no one said thanks for the help. In the past, they practically would fall over themselves to thank us for helping and how much we did, etc.
Anyway, once Maddy and I left, we started our hopping. Neither of us cared for the first shop and neither of us bought anything there, but Maddy had to buy her passport for the hop. She was supposed to get a free fat quarter, but they didn't give it to her.
By the time we got to the second shop, we were planning on a quick in and out just to get the stamp. But we went inside. It was an awesome shop! There were bolts of fabric EVERYWHERE!!! I got my favorite cut of fabric here, but I haven't downloaded it to the laptop. I will post tomorrow.
We were able to get to 5 of the stores today and have 5 to do tomorrow. Maddy, Nick (Maddy's husband) and I are meeting for breakfast in the morning and then we are finishing the hop. We are very excited and both had a great time today. I can't wait to see what we find tomorrow!!Leave a Comment
