After we went on the tour, we walked through the open air Market and I got myself a couple of pairs of sterling silver earrings. When we left there, we went to People, Places and Quilts. It was a nice shop and the ladies there were all very nice and showed me almost everything they had in the shop. I ended up getting 5 different Civil War Reproduction fabrics and a couple of yards of the sock monkey brown fabric for a quilt pattern that I got from the Shop Hop.
OH MY GOD!!!! I almost forgot!! I won a basket from the Shop Hop last week! The shop in Lawrenceburg, IN called me today and told me that I won their basket that was a door prize and that I should come and get it! I am very excited - but I have no idea what is in the basket. Yeah, me!!
Also, I did bring some things to work on - the I Spy quilt, the Fall and Halloween big shirts, and the fruit table runner and placemats from a class I took in July. So far, I have cut out all the pieces for the I Spy and laid out the body and first row for the border. I haven't sewn anything, but it looks nice so far. And we found another shop that it within a couple of blocks from the condo. I will have to scope it out and let you know all about it!
Right now, we are waiting for my parents and my sister and her kids to show up. I haven't seen the kids in a few weeks, but I haven't seen my mom since the end of May or my dad since February 2006 so I am anxious to see them. And for them to see me since I have lost the weight.

Sounds like you are having a great time on your vacation! I could really use one where I got to visit that many quilt shops. We're going to CO this weekend and I'm hoping to visit some quilt shops along the way.
Wow Jill: You are enjoying yourself! I am sooo jealous! Have fun!
Can't wait to hear about your next excursions; sounds like you're having a fabulous time.
Are you going to post a more recent picture of yourself for a before/after???!?
It sure sounds like you're having a great time. I've only seen Charleston in the movies but it sure looks like a beautiful place to visit.
