Things accomplished in November

Nancy-Rose posted a challenge for fellow bloggers to post their monthly accomplishments. I have separated mine into a couple of categories since November was a big month for me with non-quilting items.

Quilty things accomplished:
  1. Prepared quite a bit of fabric for Project Linus blankets for my chapter to work on.
  2. October 2 buck a block BOM
  3. November 2 buck a block BOM
  4. 1 Easy Striped Table Runner for class with my Guild small group - Quilted Chaos
  5. Started a Star and Nine Patch class and got all of my fabric for the blocks cut out.
  6. Finished the I Spy top
  7. Finished a Striped Table Runner
  8. Finished hems on 2 pairs of pants for Claire and Spencer started in October
  9. Made a quilt sandwich with cheap fabric to practice FMQ - Still need to practice though
  10. Made 3 pairs of pants for Claire
  11. Made 3 pairs of pants for Spencer
  12. Made 3 pillowcases for Claire
  13. Made 3 pillowcases for Spencer
  14. Made 2 Bengals pillowcases for a lady at work
  15. Made a fabric book for Ethan
  16. Made a Halloween table runner top
Quilty Things I learned

  1. How much I enjoy quilting and how much I missed it when I was 'laid up' after the accident and didn't have the energy to do much of anything!
  2. How to make half square triangles with a pencil line and my quarter inch foot on the machine.
  3. How to make pieces for applique and then use a teflon sheet to start assembling the pieces

Non-quilty things accomplished:
  1. Going from a size 16 to size 10 in pants - all thanks to Weight watchers.
  2. Going from an XL in tops to MEDIUM! I am still very excited about that! I haven't worn mediums in anything except slipper socks for years! (AND a special kudos to the first person who can tell me what 'Slipper Socks. Medium.' is from! - Mom, I don't think that you would count for this as it is expected that you know!)
  3. Purchased the new car!
  4. Volunteered at Crayons 2 Computers one time.
  5. Started making a list of Christmas presents to make and started purchasing fabric to make said presents.
  6. Cleaned off TiVo
  7. Read Jennifer Chiaverini's newest book - The New Years Quilt
  8. Read Sarah Strohmeyer's The Cinderalla Pact

Things I learned:
  1. There is no chemistry in person between me and DV2. While I enjoy talking to him on the phone, I am just not feeling any chemistry in person. I feel awful because he really is a nice guy.
  2. I enjoy car shopping!
Well, that's about it. I think I was only down 3 pounds for the month. I think that was mostly due to Thanksgiving and being off for a week and doing nothing but sewing and snacking!
