On your mark...

Well, really on my mark! Tomorrow is the big day. The first day of July and the Survivor Quilt Challenge! I was afraid that work was going to get in the way of the first few days for me. I actually thought that I wouldn't be able to sew until maybe Wednesday night, but probably not until Thursday. I am happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised at work today.

I had some information that I needed to get and some projects in order and balanced. When I left one of the projects yesterday, I was out of balance by more than $6000, but since the project was around $92,000,000 in total activity, I wasn't too worried about it. I am happy to report that every last project is in balance to the very last penny! I still have a lot of clean up work to get done tomorrow, but I am confident that it won't be too late of a night and I will be able to come home and get started on my hours for the month.

I was also teasing the big boss about the amount of work that has gone into balancing these projects. We had a meeting this morning and once my boss told him how much work I have been doing to get them balanced, I said, "Ice cream. Chocolate chip cookie dough. I'm just gonna put it out there." Well, when the big boss went to leave tonight and I was still working, he stopped and said, "Ice cream, right?" My co-worker said that she will crap herself if he brings me in ice cream. She has worked there a long time and doesn't believe that he will do it. It will totally crack me up though if he does!

OK, I guess that I should get some rest so that I can get to work early and get started! Wish me luck on the challenge!

Congratulations on your figure balancing! Yay! You have fun in the challenge. All three of you girls make me tired just thinking about all the hours of sewing ahead of you!
