Well, there wasn't a lot of sewing on Saturday. Most of these pictures were from Friday night. I made some good progress on the back pack, but I think that I am at a stopping point until I go to the shop and see how the straps are attached because it's not very clear in the pattern.
This is the body of the bag before I attached the bottom border.
This is the body of the bag with the button holes made and the outside edges sewn together.
And this morning, I made the straps for the bag. Once I was done, I ran to get an oil change on the car and I stitched the binding on Lover's Lane while I waited. Then, I treated myself to IHOP. Yum!
After lunch, I went to the new Super Joann's in Mason. Since it's President's Day weekend, there was a sale, but there wasn't much to get. I did pick up a rotating cutting mat that will help with all of the HSTs that I like to make. And 2.5 yards of fabric for pants.
I also found a cheap dog sweater for Max. And since I found one for Max, I figured that I needed to go to the PetSmart to find one for Maisy. And I got them a few dogs toys, too.
My poor BFD - I should have gotten her a medium!
I think that they both like the sweaters because they wore them for more than 30 minutes.
Once I got home from shopping though, I had no energy or momentum to do anything. I ended up watching TV and stitching more of the binding on Lover's Lane. I am more than halfway done. Woo hoo!

Cool back pack in the making! I look for to seeing it's completion! 8-)
Adorable sweaters for the fur-friends...
Happy stitchings!
I have been wanting one of those turn table cutting mats. Let me know how you like it!
The pups are so adorable. Daisy will wear her sweater all day if I'd let her. LOL
I love my little turning mat. Love the discounted notion times here too. we don't have a Joann's, but a Hancocks.
