This past weekend, I wanted to finish the 4 patches for the Secret quilts. I need 360 4 patches to go with the 472 HSTs for these 2 quilts.
Now, here is the exciting part!! While I am using the same pattern for both quilts, the pieces will not be split evenly between the two! I modified the pattern for Regina's quilt because that's how she rolls! And I just knew that she would appreciate the, um, changes in the quilt that I came up with! :)
I spent time over the weekend strip piecing the strips and then pressing and cutting them into the necessary sizes and sewing again to get my 4 patches. I haven't strip pieced in so long that it was wonderful to be feeding the pieces of fabric to the sewing machine.... It was like coming home to an old friend!!
Friday, I had these...
And after sewing and pressing tonight, I have 240 of the 360 4 patches done. Just 60 more strips to cut to size and 120 more patches to sew!
I was hoping to get these finished before this weekend, but I have a binding to stitch down for a Yahoo group's UFO list to save myself and a sock that is almost finished. I am trying to limit my knitting time to lunches at work and it has been working. It's easier to tote a sock to work than to drag a quilt that borders on full size!
Tonight, I had a Guild Board meeting and we went to Max & Erma's for dinner. I had the chicken alfredo and it was marvelous!! The sauce smelled delicious and it tasted even better!! So rich and creamy! And I have plenty of it left over for a lunch and dinner this week! Yum!!
Maisy says...
"You didn't save any for me?" *sob, sob*
Can you see the tears in her eye? lol

You are one busy girl! Wish I had your enthusiasm and ambition!
Can't wait to see the colors of the 4-patches. Max & Ermas sounds great....haven't been there in years!
Oh, I can see the tears, because I get the same look from my girls!!!! I can not wait to see this quilt, it looks like a fun one to put together!
I could say something rude about you being a stripper, but I'll refrain. lol
Can I come over for leftovers?!?! I love chicken alfredo.
This is the first time I noticed the new name of your blog and I laughed!! Love it!!!
And look at you on the peicing and sewing home front!! Excellant! And I used to take my knitting to work with me too, but it was an afghan and it came with me in a huge bag!! lol!! But hey, it worked!! And I got it done - so it's good to see you taking a sock to work and playing with it while you would be reading or staring into space!
I am woundering what these mystery quilts will look like when done!! but so far the black and white photos are fun to see.... curiosity has me woundering though.... Make it a great day!!
Maisy is just crying over the black and white photos- she wants to see COLORS as much as I do!!! Poor puppy!! :-)
Look at sweet Maisy.....I can tell that she is so hungry...just wasting away..all skin and bones.
Have a great week!
