To be in the know...

You have to know these things. Very important things!
  1. I have not been using the GO that I picked up on Black Friday. It's not that I don't *want* to use it, but I just have other things that must be worked on and scraps are not a priority for the time being. Plus, I only have the value die (which I doubt that I will ever use) and the 5" square die and I am not planning on cutting out a nickel quilt in the next several days or weeks. It will be out of the box by the end of the month though. You can count on that!
  2. I finished rereading Outlander this week and started on the second in the series again, Dragonfly in Amber. I didn't expect to be rereading this book again so soon, but there were things that were in the first book that made a couple of things in the second book a little clearer. I am also going to try to actually read the second book because I can read a lot faster than the narrator does. I had listened to 3 hours of the audio version and it only brought me up to page 52! Granted the type is a bit smaller in the book than in most books, but still!
  3. I do plan on writing instructions for the 2 quilts (1 and 2) I designed and posting them here. We can do them as sew alongs or you can do them on your own, but I will share the instructions. I also have another quilt to show that is as striking as the second one a at least one other one that I designed that I will be making into an I Spy quilt. But none of this will be happening this month, so if you were holding your breath for that, you can stop! lol
  4. It's snowing outside. Big ole flakes! And it's sticking. I'm glad it's Saturday. I have plans for my Paid Time Off at work and it doesn't include any snow days!
  5. I'm still working on my socks and still on the legs. I have just over 3.5" done. I haven't been knitting very much.
  6. I haven't done much quilting since I made up my last To Do list either. Just the Bento Box is done. I got my quilting machine cleaned and serviced before Thanksgiving and it is still sitting on the floor to go downstairs. I'm thinking that once I get my Granma's quilt assembled and sent to the quilter, I will work on the quilting.
  7. Yes, I am sending Granma's quilt out to be quilted. I am getting a great deal on it and it will be finished a lot quicker than I can do it while fighting with the size on my little frame. This will also free up time to work on the other quilts that should be quilted.
  8. When I get these quilts quilted, I should have a binding party... Anyone want to join me? There will be lots of binding to go around! :)
  9. I'm also toying with an idea for a UFO support group. It will be named the Year of the PIGS and we will have an awesome badge for it. PIGS stands for Projects In Grocery Sacks. Sound interesting?
Now you are in the know!

Max thinks it's nice to know things now!

Nice list!! Ack! I just started reading Dragonfly in Amber...so I haven't gotten much done in the last week with Outlander on my mind. I could probably stand to join the PIGS group...God knows I have plenty of UFO's. You know, I was shocked when you said it was snowing because I could have sworn you lived in CA? LOL...Anyhow, good luck with that megalist of things to do....

I would join but I think it should be called PITS-projects in trunks! As a reborn quilter I have a trunk full of blocks and tops from my early quilting days.

JILL I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ASSIST YOU ON THE BINDINGS. LET ME KNOW AND I CAN COME OVER TO HELP YOU DEPENDING ON WHAT DAY OF THE WEEK IT IS. SATURDAYS I HAVE TO GO TO BED VERY EARLY FOR SUNDAY, SO THAT WOULD MAYBE BE THE WORSE DAY. PIG OR PIT SOUNDS GOOD. IT MIGHT BE GOOD TO GET TOGETHER TO SEW AS A GROUP AND SUPPORT EACH OTHER.

Ok...breathing again!LOL! I am anxious to try those quilts!
I have only cut a few play pieces with my GO...Like you I probably won't use the one that comes with it. Also like you I have other things I want to clear out before I get into playing with it. I got a rag quilt die and 5" square at Joann's and at the LQS I got the 2.5" strip one. I want the 3.5" strip one but I guess I'll have to order it. I can't wait to see what you do with yours!
My PIGS are actually in Plastic Boxes!

Hey girl! About your #3 on the list....sounds GREAT! I am VERY VERY VERY interested in doing a quilt-along with the designs if you're willing to take us through one (or both?) of them. {{Thank goodness you're booked this month too, cuz there ain't no WAY I would be able to quilt along this month!}}

Wow, you know a lot! LOL Sorry you'll have to do your own binding. I'll have my own to do...that is if I ever get the quilting done.

I'll join you on knocking out UFO's, but does it include quilting??? Just getting the tops done is accomplishment enough for me LOL.
