Year of the PIGS - 1/26

This is an off week, so there is no question to be answered. I thought that you quilters participating and following along might need a little motivation! I have been working on a UFO and was hoping to have it finished to show a finished UFO, but I am still chugging away at the binding.

I went through my posts from last year and found my first PIG finish from the year. Two sets of placemats and table runners.

I made my first set of this pattern in 2008 and then got the fabric to make these 2 sets in possibly 2009 (I'm not sure of the year, but I am pretty sure that it was in the summer) and the fabric sat for a while. I'm not sure what made me get them out and work on them, but once I got past some binding issues, I was able to get everything done pretty quickly!

So it is possible to finish UFOs and work on PIGS! ;)

I am about ready to cross a UFO off my list! Finally got the borders on my SIS quilt and signed up to use the long arm on Saturday to get it quilted. My incentive? I wanted to have it done so I could bring it with me to Cincinnati in April!

I loved those when you first started working on them. The watermelon reminds me of Hunter, he LOVES watermelon!

I didn't get rid of a PIG - I cut out a new one!!! Or does that now make it a UFO??? Ahhhh- I am hopeless! :-)

They really get done? Oh, of course they do. Look at all the finished quilts in the world that serve as evidence. As soon as the basement is reasonably finished and the company gone, I am SO working on mine. Just hide and watch! (Unless, of course, life throws me another curve ball)

I agree - finish up a couple UFOs, then absolutely no guilt about starting another project!

Ok, so I took on another project. Hubby left town this morning, so that means I can do some sewing ALL DAY... if I'm so motivated.

Gotta run out and get me a popcorn popper and then I'm back for some UFO-ing.... My goal is to get one done done -- just needs to be quilted and bound. It's a table runner, so I know I can do it.

Have a great day!

Were Edna's your first set? I saw them and just loved them. That was the first of your work I had ever seen. Stay warm, honey.

I love those placemats and I found a copy of the magazine the pattern was in. One of these days I will make them!
