Progress and a tumble

Yesterday, I got off a little early from work and when I got home, I some how got stuck watching a Jersey Shore marathon. This show is crazy and a total train wreck and I watched from the afternoon until midnight when I finally pulled myself away to go to bed. I'm not necessarily proud of this, but it did help me make progress on the cow quilt.

I got the wonky parts sewn together and everything pressed and I am in the progress of final assembly on the blocks. Here was 4 thrown together.

And there are a few more to press and more to sew.

I still have more table runners to assemble. They are out of the way, but not put away because I would like to work on them this weekend.

Here are the charms that I put aside for patterns. Kits, if you will. :)

And the tumble relates to my stash report this year. One of the local shops is closing and opened their shop today to get the rest of their fabric out. At $2.50 a yard for quilt shop quality fabric... who can pass that up? Not me!! I met Lynn at the shop when they opened and we shopped til we dropped! I will have to go through it tonight for the stash report tomorrow.

I would probably have done some real damage at that sale if I would have been there!! Good for you ending the year with a fantastic way to feed your habit!!;-)

And I like how the cow quilt is coming together!! (say that 10 times real fast!!)

I have the charmed pattern too, but I am missing one of them???? But I love it when you show what you have made and I always want to go get my pattern and do one too!!!

You have done alot this year - and I have really enjoyed visiting you and getting inspired. Thank-you for being part of my life in 2011 and I wish only the best for you in 2012!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

At least Jersey Shore kept you sewing! Hope you found another good marathon to sew to today.

I think you showed a lot of restraint for fabric of that quality at those prices. Good thing the year starts fresh in the morning!
I'm glad you were sewing while watching the Jersey Shore Marathon, I was picturing you sitting glued the TV. So glad it was productive time.
The cows are looking happy.

I'd be more concerned if you WEREN"T buying fabric when it was $2.50 a yard!

Well, at $2.50 a yard, you are allowed to buy! buy! buy! LOL! Can't wait to hear how much yardage that you ended up with.

I can't wait to see the entire cow top! The four blocks together look really neat.

As long as you didn't bang your head and/or draw blood, I say good for you for capitalizing on such a great sale!

At that price you are making 400% return on investment. That sounds very responsible to me.

Maybe crazy shows are good for wonky quilts, because your blocks are charming. The finished product is sure to be great.
