I tried to do a bit of sewing yesterday, but it is just too unbearably hot right now to have the iron on and to move around at all.
I got the dog quilt blocks finished Friday night and laid out. I am about halfway through with assembly.
I got the first step for the Road to Llano finished.
And the second step started.

Nice progress.. It's suppose to hit 100 here this week and the humidity is miserable. Fall will eventually come.
I really like your scrappy dog quilt blocks. As for temperature, for once it is cool here in central Texas and raining in July...OMG!!
I TOTALLY get the heat thing! I discovered one day last week, DS had my car (with my permission!) and I didn't stir out of the house ONCE...well, maybe I DID go to the mail box after dark! Hey, its MY indoor season! Love the Llano colors...and always love the pooches!
I have said it before and I will say it again, I love your blog. I love the pups, the quilts you make and show, your book reviews, just everything and I love the new totes! Thank- you for being here, even when I am not! It's nice to come back to blog land and see what has been happening! And now, I think I have to find a certain book..... thanks!!
The heat used to big me too, but not in the basement...how's the new machine doing? Progress looks good!
I think this heat is slowing everyone down a little. I can't stand to even go upstairs to sew. I have several machines downstairs where it is cooler but still not sewing a bunch.
