I took quite a few projects with me to Shipshewana, but I didn't work on all of them. I barely worked on half of them!
Thursday and Friday, I worked on assembling the blocks into this center. Then, I started working on the pieced border and when I got that done, I decided to go ahead finish the top.
Saturday evening around 9, this is what I had.
Of course, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the rotation of the last border pieces and I have 2 dangling yellow squares. I will probably rip out a little and fix those and then re-sew.
This is Judy's Road to Llano pattern.
And on Sunday, I pulled out the witches and made a plan for finishing them. The pattern is Which Witch by Crazy Old Ladies.

I loke the dangling yellow squares!
Like...sorry
Both projects look great! I love the periwinkle blue border for your Road quilt.
I love both projects! Great job! ~Melanie
Your main project is absolutely stunning! Those colors sing. I think I'd redo the corners but if you don't future quilter historians would call it a charming addition. At least that is what I tell myself when I do stuff like that, and boy I have done that type of thing too!
I have a daughter who would be over the moon for that quilt top, it is beautiful and just the right colors. Good job.
oh! I LOVE the Road colors! You out did yourself, girl! Cute Halloween block..and I dont' do Halloween! Love that orange border..if you just quilted along the fabric lines, it would look like McTavishing!
Good to see you again in Shipshe, your work is amazing.
At least your two yellow dangles balance on the top. Your color choices for this one were great! I liked my r/w/b, too. In fact, I haven't seen any colors I didn't like, I think. Congratulations on finishing.
Love the colors in your road quilt - and yes, keep the dangling yellows - and have future generations wonder what happened ;-)
I brought way too much too! Haven't even started to unpack yet! Your top really does look good, but I would change those squares or I would have to point them out to everyone who complimented me in the top!
I had a great time, but I haven't unpacked yet. Still playing catch-up from being gone. Love the quilt.
Wait, the retreat was LAST weekend? I thought it was this coming weekend. This month went WAY too fast. Road to Llano looks awesome.
Jill I think I would leave those yellow blocks just they way there are, a lot of work to redo and I didnt notice them until you mentioned them. Great job on the top, love the colors even though yellow isnt my favorite. Cant wait to see the witch wall hanging finished.
I love the strong graphic look of your quilt.
